Carboxymethyl Cellulose
Carboxymethylcellulose can form colloidal solution of high viscosity. It is characterized by adhesiveness, thickening, liquidity, emulsion dispersion, forming, water retention, colloid protection, thin film forming, acid and salt resistance, suspension, etc. It also does no harm to your body. So, it is widely used in industries like food, medicine, daily chemicals, oil, paper making, textile, construction, etc. It can also be used in drilling well and other projects of oil and gas. 1. With carboxymethylcellulose-contained mud, the well wall can form thin but firm filter cakes with low penetration, thus lowering water loss. 2. Drilling rig can get low gel initial when carboxymethylcellulose is added to mud. So, it is easy for the mud to set free contained-gases. Minces can also be deserted into mud pits. 3. Similar to other suspended dispersoids, bore mud has a certain existence period, which can be stabilized and prolonged when carboxymethylcellulose is added. 4. It is rare for carboxymethylcellulose-contained mud to be infected by mould. So, it is not necessary to maintain high PH values and use preservatives. 5. Flushing fluid made of drilling mud containing carboxymethylcellulose can resist various soluble salts pollution. 6. Carboxymethylcellulose-contained mud has good stability.
